Snapscene Website – Adobe Muse Site of the Day

I’m very proud to announce that the Snapscene Photography website has been chosen as today’s (April 3, 2015) Adobe Muse – Site of the Day!  And, yes. Adobe, as in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premier . . . etc.

There are many online services that allow you to build a website with ease.  I had considered using them, but quickly realized that they didn’t offer the flexibility that I wanted.

Then I discovered Adobe Muse.

Adobe Muse is web design software, part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite,  that allows you to build a website graphically – WYSIWYG.  The design processes would be very similar to how a graphic artist would layout page for a poster or magazine.  There is a little more to it, but you can simply drag your graphics, images, and text where you want them, to build your design.  The magic of Muse, is that it codes the website behind the scenes for you.

As I said . . . there is a lot more to it.  You do need a basic understanding of how websites work and flow.  An eye for composition, colour, and basic aesthetics helps.  Finally, knowledge in SEO is needed to get your website noticed.  That said, someone without basic web design knowledge may just find themselves overwhelmed at first – in which case the online web site building services might be a better fit.

So, do understand that there have been countless hours of preparation and production involved in my website.  It wasn’t put together in an evening . . . by simply clicking and dragging my content where I see fit.  And, it’s an ongoing feat.  There are always new images to show, fresh news to present, and new ideas to implement.  Adobe Muse really makes it easy for me!

I’m very humbled by Adobe’s gesture!  Thank you Adobe!

Please, do share my website.  And, if you know of anyone who needs a Burlington photographer, I’d be happy to provide my services!

Snapscene Blog – Beta Mode

I’ve decided to start up a new blog – which has been implemented into my website.

That said, this blog is in it’s beta stage.  Which means, I need to build up some more content . . . and, I ask your patience while I do so!

In the meantime, any info regarding photo sessions can be found on my website.  If you’d like to see my photography work, you can check out my portfolio gallery.
